Directions from outside of New Bedford/Fairhaven area: Take I-195 towards New Bedford. Take Route 18 South, Exit # 15 towards Downtown New Bedford. Take Route 6 EAST towards Fairhaven. As soon as you cross over bridge, take the first right into Pope's Island Marina. (If you prefer to use your own online map service, use 102 Pope's Island, New Bedford, MA 02740 as your destination.)
Local Directions: From New Bedford, take Route 6 East over the New Bedford/Fairhaven Bridge. Take a right into the parking lot of the Pope's Island Park and Marina. From Fairhaven, take Route 6 West, and just before the New Bedford/Fairhaven Bridge, take a left into Pope's Island Park and Marina. It's directly across from West Marine.
Note that the main walkway to the marina is gated, so you'll need to wait until someone from Whaling City Rowing, or a coach, lets you in.
