The Independance Day Whaleboat Races were a success!
Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 02:53PM The IDWR Committee would like to thank everyone who helped make this year’s event a success! We would especially like to thank the following individuals for their time, commitment, and involvement (..and this list is in no particular order):
Sergeant Simmons, the NBPD, the NBFD, and the HDC for providing on the water help
Tommy Vital and Robert Boule for help to place/retrieve the buoys and towing abilities.
Jack & Pat Ford for timing all of the races, and Greg Carlisle and Sarah Labelle for helping the Fords with some of the races.
Kevin Lee for capturing this event and all of the fantastic action shots throughout the day through his wonderful photography. See Photos
The Buzzards and Hot Flashes for helping to move the boats the morning of the event.
